Description
Itinerary Start: Day 1 at 07:00 at your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. End: Day 3 at 13:00 at the bus terminal or in the center of San Pedro de Atacama (this ending time could be modified due to weather conditions or force majeure, so we recommend you to leave your departure from San Pedro de Atacama for the next day after the end date of the tour). Day 1: We will pick you up at your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama to go to the border between Chile and Bolivia in shared transport. After customs formalities, we will start the tour in private transport that will take us to visit the various tourist attractions of the Bolivian altiplano, such as the Verde and Blanca lagoons, and the Sol de Mañana geysers. We will also pass by the Colorada Lagoon and Italia Perdida. Here we will walk through the labyrinths of rock that the wind has formed over hundreds of years. Then, we will pass by the Vinto Lagoon and the viewpoint of the Anaconda Canyon, from where we have a panoramic view of a very particular landscape in the middle of the desert. After this long day, we will arrive to San Juan del Rosario, where we will have our dinner and rest to continue the next day. Day 2: We will leave very early in the morning to enter the Uyuni Salt Flat and settle in to watch the sunrise. After seeing the first lights of the morning and taking advantage of the panorama to take pictures, we will continue our tour inside the salt flat to Incahuasi Island, where we will be able to get off and hike along the marked trail. This will allow us to see the salt flat at altitude and have a better perspective of the large area it covers. Then, we will pass by the Salt Museum and the Dakar monument, before visiting Colchani. We will also visit the train cemetery before arriving in Uyuni, where we will have lunch. Afterwards, we will continue our trip to Villamar, where we will have our second night of lodging. Day 3: We will start the day early in the morning, to make short stops at the tourist attractions on this part of the journey. The first thing we will see is the Colorada Lagoon. Then, we will visit the Sol de Mañana geysers and the Polques hot springs. Before reaching the border, we will pass by the Blanca and Verde lagoons, near the Licancabur volcano and we will have the last close views of the mountain range before crossing into Chilean territory. After the formalities, we will arrive to San Pedro de Atacama by shared transport, where we will finish our tour. Note: *The visit times to each of the places in the two programs are reduced, since there is less time available than in the Salar de Uyuni tour (4 days). During the months of January to April there is rain in the central Andes. Because of this, it is possible that the itinerary described may be modified as follows: The first night is in a hostel in Uyuni. We do not visit Incahuasi Island, where there is a higher concentration of water during the rainy season.Includes
