Description

Start: We will start on day 1 at 08:00 at your accommodation in Uyuni. End: We will conclude on day 4 at 13:30 in the center of Tupiza. Day 1: Exploration of the Salar de Uyuni and visit to Villa Candelaria. We will leave early in the morning, before sunrise, to enter the Salar de Uyuni, recognized as the largest salt flat in the world. You will contemplate the sunrise over the vast white expanse of salt, which covers 12,000 km2 at an altitude of 3650m. Capture spectacular moments playing with perspective and visit the Incahuasi Island in the heart of the salt flat, from where you can appreciate a 360° panoramic view of its immensity. After enjoying this moment, we will leave the salt flat, passing through Colchani, the town where salt processing takes place and where you will have the opportunity to buy souvenirs. Then, we will continue our journey to Villa Candelaria. Day 2: From Villa Candelaria to Huayllajara. After morning breakfast, we will depart from Villa Candelaria to San Juan, the starting point to enter the road that will take us to the Chiguana salt flat. Next, you will explore the Ollagüe viewpoint, giving you a panoramic view of the majestic Andes Mountains. We will continue our tour visiting a series of altiplanic lagoons, highlighting the Hedionda lagoon, home not only of vicuñas but also of flamingos and, if we are lucky, you will be able to see the Andean fox. Afterwards, we will dive into the Siloli Desert, home of the iconic Stone Tree, where we will make a brief stop to capture moments in photographs. We will continue to Laguna Colorada, an impressive flamingo nesting site. After witnessing this natural spectacle, we will head to Huayllajara, where you will spend the second night. Day 3: From Huayllajara to Quetena. After breakfast, we will start our journey by vehicle to the Sol de Mañana geysers. From this point, you will follow the road that crosses the impressive Dali desert until you reach Laguna Verde, located at 4250 m altitude, at the foot of the majestic Licancabur volcano, right on the border between Bolivia and Chile. You will then cross the Chaiviri salt flat, making a stop to enjoy the hot springs before lunch. Afterwards, we will head towards the Kollpa Lagoon, where you will have the opportunity to capture some pictures before arriving in Quetena, where you will spend the last night of this exciting tour. Day 4: From Quetena to Tupiza. After the last breakfast, we will head towards San Pablo de Lipez, a village located at 4250 m altitude. On the way, we will pass through the mining community of Nazarenito and continue to El Sillar, where we will stop to appreciate the scenery and take some pictures. Finally, we will cross the picturesque Quebrada de Palala before arriving in Tupiza, marking the end of this unforgettable tour.
