Description

Our excursion will start from San Pedro de Atacama, heading southeast. After about an hour's drive, during which we will be able to appreciate the variation of colors in the desert landscape, we will arrive at the entrance to the Lagunas Escondidas de Baltinache. Here, before continuing our tour, we will have the opportunity to use the restrooms. It is believed that this area was submerged at the bottom of the ocean millions of years ago. We will continue along the trail that will guide us through the seven lagoons that make up this wonderful landscape, being only the first or the last one suitable for a swim. Due to its high salt concentration, you will experience the floating effect similar to the Dead Sea. After having explored this beautiful attraction in the middle of the Atacama Desert, we will start our return, enjoying the spectacular view of the sunset in the desert. Finally, we will return to San Pedro de Atacama, concluding our excursion.
