Description
We will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa at 6:30 am and we will begin a most peculiar tour: the Loncco Route. You will see natural landscapes and lesser-known towns in Peru, but no less interesting for that reason. Let's find out! We will begin by heading to the town of Quequeña, where we will visit the Museum of the Martyrs, built on the occasion of the war between Peru and Chile, and the petroglyphs of Guayalopo and Curlaca. Did you know that they are more than 1500 years old? As we progress, we will reveal to you who the Loncco is, a traditional Arequipa character famous for his particular identity. It will surprise you! Afterwards we will go to the Cerro Soncomarca viewpoint, from where you can admire impressive views of the terraces of Arequipa, and you will have the possibility of entering the Quequeña church. We will continue the Loncco Route in Sogay and its picturesque square full of palm trees. Another of the tourist attractions of this town are its ashlar houses located on the terraces of the hillside and overlooking the Yarabamba River. You will love this print! Next we will go to the Uzuña lagoon, located in the territory of Polobaya. In this natural area at the foot of a volcanic mountain range you can practice activities such as boat rides, kayaking or sport fishing. Afterwards you will have free time to eat on your own. The next stop will be Molleybaya, a town where remains of the Aillus community and the curacazgo were found. Here we will take a short walk to visit its historic center and the communal fulling mill, an old machine for treating fabrics. We will also visit Characato and its plaza and church with water springs. Awesome! Next we will see the most emblematic places of Sabandía, among which the church of the Virgen del Rosario or the mill stands out, a 17th century construction made with the characteristic ashlar stone. Finally, we will return to Arequipa. The tour will end in an area near the Plaza de Armas of Arequipa at 5:00 p.m.Includes
