Beste attraksjoner i Chile


Historie:
Den mest pålitelige bakgrunnen om havne historien til Valparaíso stammer fra 1810, da Villaurrutia brygga ble bygget. Villaurrutia-bryggen, den eneste som eksisterte i Valparaíso på den tiden, hadde en dobbel historisk verdi: den var Chiles første brygge og den eneste som ble bygget under kolonitiden.

Den 7. september 1910 ble Lov nr. 2 390 godkjent, som tildelte midler til byggingen av havner i Valparaíso og San Antonio, i tillegg til å opprette Havnekommisjonen.

Havnen i Valparaíso har blitt administrert av ulike statlige organer. Den mest ikoniske ble født 6. april 1960, kalt Empresa Portuaria de Chile, Emporchi, en sentral og autonom forvaltningsenhet, ansvarlig for drift og administrasjon av statlige havner.

Veksten i chilensk utenrikshandel og den teknologiske utviklingen av sjøtransport, medførte behov for investering i infrastruktur og utstyr. Av denne grunn fremmet staten Lov nr. 19 542 om havnemodernisering, gjennom hvilken de ti statlige havnene under Emporchi ble autonome selskaper, ansvarlige for å stimulere effektivitet og investering gjennom konsesjon av private havner.
