Description
We'll start our experience at a previously agreed point in Valparaíso or Santiago, from where a private transport will take us to the imposing Aconcagua Valley, a wine region known for its intense and complex reds. During the journey, you'll pass through landscapes dominated by mountains, rivers, and farmland, which will take you to the heart of one of the most traditional areas of Chilean wine.
- Von Siebenthal Winery, located in Panquehue. This boutique winery, founded by a Swiss winemaker, combines European precision with the richness of the Chilean terroir. Its wines have been awarded over 90 points by Wine Spectator and Robert Parker, especially its Carmenère and Don Maximiano labels. Here you'll tour the vineyards, the winery, and the barrel room, while learning about their philosophy of minimal intervention and tasting three of their most renowned wines.
- Viña Sánchez de Loria, a 19th-century heritage gem and one of the oldest wineries in operation in the country. This vineyard still uses traditional winemaking methods, with ancient clay jars and wooden presses that will take you back in time. During the visit, you'll learn about their family history, tour the old corridors, and enjoy a tasting of wines made with classic techniques, including their outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon and their artisanal sweet wine.
- Viña El Escorial, located in Panquehue, is known for its production of mountain wines and its sustainable philosophy. This boutique vineyard makes signature wines with grapes grown at altitude, where the climate and soil conditions give freshness, structure, and elegance. You'll taste a selection of award-winning wines, such as their Pinot Noir and Syrah Gran Reserva, while enjoying privileged views of the valley and the mountain range.
Sometimes, the third visit might be replaced by:
- Flaherty Wines, a small artisanal winery run by American winemaker Ed Flaherty. Renowned for its limited production of high-end red blends, this vineyard offers a more intimate experience, where you can chat directly with its producers and discover how passion and technique come together in each bottle.
At the end of the tastings, you'll have free time to browse the shops of each winery, take photos, and buy your favorite wines directly from the producer. With the sunset over the Aconcagua hills, we'll head back, enjoying the valley's landscapes and wrapping up an unforgettable day of Chilean history, flavor, and wine culture.
