El Mundo del Vino
(Wine World)
At a glance
A chain of stores in the Santiago area that specializes solely in alcohol; including wine, sparkling wine, champagne, and spirits of premium quality. There is a focus on local varieties; since the Chilean wine industry is rapidly growing, and now competes with the elite wine manufacturers of France, Australia, and South Africa.
Inside the store, you can also find imported beverages, but from a visitor to Chile’s perspective, the local brands offer good value and exceptional quality. Books, wine guides, and accessories can also be found at El Mundo Del Vino.
All employees that work for El Mundo have to complete rigorous training programs that ensure their knowledge of the industry is more than adequate. This enables for excellent advice on what item to purchase, whether it is to accompany a specific dish, or simply drink on its own at a party.
The ethics of the company focus primarily on promoting premium alcoholic beverages by educating their clients. Special events are hosted across the city including wine tasting; which has gained this company a reputation of having great expertise and at the same time encourages the concept of responsible drinking campaigns.
