El Tatio (from the Kunza Tata-iu, meaning 'the crying grandfather') is a geyser field located in the Andean mountains of northern Chile.

Description

On the tour to the Tatio Geysers we will leave early in the morning from San Pedro de Atacama towards the Altiplano, climbing the hills and mountains of the Andes Mountains. After a 1 hour and a half trip, we will arrive at the Geysers, a unique natural spectacle in the world, with 80 steaming geysers at 4200 m above sea level. Along with this natural setting, we will enjoy a restorative breakfast, and then we will tour the geothermal field, surrounded by numerous columns of steam. On the way back to San Pedro de Atacama, we will make a stop at the Putana River, where we will observe the native flora and fauna of the place.
