Description
We will pick you up at the meeting point in San Pedro de Atacama at the coordinated time and we will head south. After approximately half an hour of road travel we will reach a canyon crossed by a river of hot water.
The Puritama hot springs are the seven pools of water that are found along the route of this river, at the bottom of the canyon at the foot of the Andes. Once we enter the facilities, you will have three free time to enjoy the Puritama thermal baths.
Puritama's hot waters reach 33.5 degrees Celsius and are rich in minerals such as magnesium, sodium, lithium and potassium. The Atacameño peoples have used these thermal baths since before the Spanish conquest, and they have traditionally been recommended to treat rheumatism, arthritis, and muscle fatigue.
The place is equipped with wooden walkways that connect the eight natural pools and facilities such as bathrooms and picnic areas so you can relax and enjoy the relaxing properties of the Puritama hot springs.
With our batteries recharged and rested, we will begin our return journey and we will be back in the small square in the center of San Pedro de Atacama four and a half hours after departure.
