Description

Would you like to explore the impressive Tierra del Fuego and have the opportunity to observe the majestic king penguins? We will start picking up passengers at their hotel in Punta Arenas (urban area) to start our navigation (Ferry) through the Strait of Magellan. Our destination is Porvenir, in Tierra del Fuego, with an approximate navigation time of 2 hours. Once on the island, we will visit Porvenir with a small city tour and a stop for lunch. Then, we will head to the King Penguin Natural Reserve, where you will have the unique opportunity to see the imposing king penguins, the second largest species in the world. After about an hour of observation and walking along the marked trail, we will continue our journey through Tierra del Fuego. We will then head to Punta Delgada, the narrowest part of the Strait of Magellan, for our second navigation (estimated time: 30 minutes). During this tour, we will visit several historical sites, such as Estancia San Gregorio, an estancia founded in 1878 that still preserves some of its original facilities. Finally, we will return to Punta Arenas. There are 3 types of tours available, which may vary according to the ferry schedule, the visit to the park and weather factors. Route 1: Punta Arenas - Porvenir - King Penguin Natural Reserve - Punta Delgada - San Gregorio - Punta Arenas. Route 2: Punta Arenas - San Gregorio - Punta Delgada - Cerro Sombrero - King Penguin Natural Reserve - Porvenir - Punta Arenas. Route 3: Punta Arenas - San Gregorio - Punta Delgada - Cerro Sombrero - Pingüino Rey Natural Reserve - Punta Delgada - Punta Arenas. Before making your reservation, please check the availability of the route you wish to take. Please note that the itinerary may be subject to change due to weather conditions. Also, the start and end time of the tour may change due to weather conditions. Do not book if you have a bus or flight the same night.
