Description
The tour starts at two times: 7:30 a.m. in the morning and 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon, departing from Muelle Prat (standard option) or with pick-up at your accommodation in Punta Arenas (plus option). Before departure, you'll receive your boarding pass and all the necessary information via WhatsApp so you can travel with peace of mind.
We'll set sail on a modern catamaran to the legendary Isla Magdalena, sailing for 1 hour and 30 minutes through the historic Strait of Magellan. During the crossing, you might spot Peale's dolphins, sea lions, and even whales that visit these southern waters.
On Isla Magdalena, you'll walk along an 800-meter trail that crosses the largest colony of Magellanic penguins on the continent. Over 60,000 pairs live here alongside cormorants, seagulls, and other seabirds. The walk ends at the Isla Magdalena Lighthouse, built in 1902, one of the region's heritage symbols. You'll spend about an hour on the island.
At the end of the experience, we'll head back by catamaran to the Prat Pier in Punta Arenas. The estimated arrival time is 12:30 PM for the morning tour and 6:30 PM for the afternoon departure.
