Description

The Moon Valley tour starts from San Pedro de Atacama and heads towards the Salt Mountains in the Atacama Desert, the driest place on earth, to one of its most picturesque spots: the Moon Valley. The names give a clear clue to the landscape, where rock formations shaped by erosion, salt flats, the Duna Mayor (Big Dune), and views that will make you feel like you're on another planet reign supreme. We will cross the valley, visiting: the Tres Marías, the Canyon, and the Amphitheater. To end the tour, we will enjoy the sunset from the Licarantay viewpoint, where you can see how the desert changes color, with large volcanoes on the horizon, offering an incredible spectacle.
