Description

Our meeting point is Casa Pumagui, a rural lodge in Villaseca, Vicuña. There we will register participants, hand out the necessary equipment, and give a brief talk on safety instructions and preparations before setting off. The hike begins at sunset, with a 1.5 km route and a 150-meter climb to the first viewpoint. From this point, we will enjoy the sunset over the Andes mountain range while sharing a brief gratitude practice and learning about the history of the village of Villaseca and the ancestral worldview of the area. As night falls, we will continue to the second viewpoint, where participants will settle into their seats for a guided meditation accompanied by the sounds of Tibetan bowls and Andean melodies. This space is designed for relaxation, reconnection, and preparation for stargazing. With the arrival of darkness, the sky becomes the main stage: the stars appear and the Milky Way is framed by the Andean mountains. We will enjoy mountain infusions before beginning the stargazing. Here you will learn to identify the constellations of the southern hemisphere, understand the movement of the celestial sphere, and discover how indigenous cultures used the sky to orient themselves and give meaning to their lives. All this in a unique space surrounded by imposing mountains. You will have time to gaze at the sky with the naked eye and through astronomical binoculars, while interacting with the tour guide and asking questions. In addition, the experience will be captured in group photographs under the stars, which will be sent in high-quality format to each participant.
