The Casablanca Valley is one of the most prestigious areas for the production of cold climate grapes. Located 70 km west of Santiago, it is less than 25 km from the Pacific Ocean. Thanks to the cold influence of the Humboldt Ocean Current, which runs along the Chilean coast, in the mornings the fog and low temperatures allow the grapes to retain their fruity freshness and high acidity.

In 1989, Thierry Villard founded what will be considered the first boutique winery in Chile in this Valley. For three decades Villard has been recognized as one of the best wineries in Casablanca. And for more than ten years, with a solidity typical of someone who knows in depth the characteristics of their territory and the terroir, the second generation of the family has innovated with new oenological techniques to create new super premium wines of great structure and elegance.
