Chilean Patagonia corresponds to a sub-region of Patagonia and is the southernmost area of Chile. It is characterized by an immense bioregion that presents a very varied geography which results in a great diversity of landscapes, climates and ecosystems: from the Patagonian pampas, to the east, passing through the mountains, the fjords, the channels and the islands, due to the sinking of the Andes Mountains, to the west.
