Magdalena Island is home to thousands of Magellanic penguins, and offers an unique opportunity to observe these birds in their natural habitat during their breeding season. Observe kelp gulls, cormorants, Chilean skuas, and other bird species that inhabit the island.
At the southeastern side of Magdalena, find Marta Island, home to South American sea lions. The vegetation on the island is sparse; however, in areas free from penguins and other birds, some grasses have taken root.
