Description
Founded in 1885 by Francisco Undurraga Vicuña after bringing vine plants from France and Germany, Viña Undurraga is among Chile's oldest vineyards. It was the first Chilean winery to export to the United States in 1903, reaching all American states. Situated in the Maipo Valley, Undurraga is a pioneer in Chilean viticulture.
During the tour, you will gain insights into the wine production process and visit cellars with over 130 years of experience. The visit includes Parque de la Viña, landscaped by George Henry Dubois, known also for designing Santiago’s Parque Forestal. You will learn about local soil types and identify different grape varieties cultivated at the vineyard.
Guests can select from three tour options, each including tastings of at least three Undurraga wines and a complimentary branded wine glass. An optional visit to Chile’s only Aroma Room is available, featuring over 40 wine-related scents for a sensory understanding of wine aromas.
