Description
The ride begins at a private farm in the Andean foothills, where an English-Spanish speaking guide provides a safety briefing and horse riding instructions. Helmets are available optionally. Horses are carefully selected by rider height and weight and are calm local Chilean breed, accustomed to the trails.
The 1.5-hour uphill ride passes through an esclerophyllous forest, reaching a plateau with panoramic views of Santiago and the Andes peaks, some glaciated. A break with snacks is taken at a lookout before a 1.5-hour descent back. Total riding time is approximately 3 hours plus a 30 to 45-minute break.
Participants will also have the chance to meet arrieros (Chilean cowboys) and experience their culture along the way.

- 9:00 AM: Hotel pick-up in Santiago
