Description

Depart from Punta Arenas by boat to Magdalena Island, home to a large colony of Magellanic penguins and several other bird species such as black-browed albatrosses and imperial cormorants. Your bilingual guide will explain the island’s ecosystem and wildlife during the journey.

Choose your meeting point based on the departure time:

• 6:00 AM and 12:30 PM departures: Muelle Prat, Punta Arenas
• 10:00 AM departure: Terminal Tres Puentes, Punta Arenas

Upon arrival, you will have approximately one hour of free time to explore the penguin colony and the island’s environment. Keep your camera ready on the crossing for possible sightings of Chilean dolphins (toninas), whales, and other marine animals. Return to Punta Arenas via boat and transfer back to the meeting point.
