Continue to Ancud to see Plaza de Armas, a crafts market, the museum, Fort San Antonio, and other historic sites. Then travel to Castro, the island’s capital, to enjoy the handicrafts market and the Mirador del Barrio Gamboa, known for its Palafitos—houses on stilts above the water.
Conclude the tour in the port city of Dalcahue, famous for its Sunday craft fair where local artisans sell handmade goods. Return to Puerto Varas with a convenient hotel transfer.
