Description
Spend four days exploring the Uyuni Salt Flats and surrounding natural wonders. Observe flamingos in their habitat, enjoy spectacular sunsets, and relax in natural hot springs.
Day 1: You will be picked up from your hotel in La Paz and transferred to the bus terminal to take a night bus to Uyuni.
Day 2: After breakfast, visit salt processing sites and the Hotel de Sal on the salt flats. Have lunch on Fish Island, located in the middle of the flats. Overnight accommodation is in shared rooms made from salt.
Day 3: Explore the southern lagoons including Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkota, Honda, and Ramadita, observing their shifting colors and flamingo populations. Visit Laguna Colorada, a nesting site for three flamingo species, and watch the sunset. Overnight in a comfortable shared-room hostel.
Day 4: At dawn, visit the Sol de Mañana geysers with their vibrant hot pools. Take a dip in Termas de Polques, followed by breakfast outdoors. Transfer to the Chilean border for drop-off at San Pedro de Atacama.
