Description
Get ready for a day of unforgettable contrasts, where the winemaking tradition of the Maipo Valley meets the vastness of the Pacific Ocean and Chile's literary heritage. Our journey begins early in Santiago, heading toward one of the country's most traditional destinations: the Undurraga Vineyard.
Upon arrival, you won't just take a tour, but will enjoy a true sensory immersion. We'll explore the centuries-old gardens and historic bodegas, where the aroma of oak mingles with history. The major highlight of this visit is the opportunity to experience Mapuche culture at 'Paihuen,' a space dedicated to honoring Chile's indigenous peoples. To top off the morning, we'll take part in a guided tasting of 4 varieties of premium wines, and you'll take home an official Undurraga wine glass as a gift.
After immersing ourselves in wine culture, we'll head to the coast for a contrast of modernity and nature. Our next stop is Algarrobo, the famous seaside town in Chile. There, you'll have the privilege of seeing the famous swimming pool at the San Alfonso del Mar resort, which features an impressive 1-kilometer-long structure by the sea. To make the experience even more special, our lunch stop (not included) will be at the resort itself, allowing you to enjoy local cuisine with a vantage point overlooking the gigantic pool and the ocean.
The afternoon takes us to mystical Isla Negra, a place that seems frozen in time. This is where the favorite house of Pablo Neruda, the Nobel Prize-winning poet, is located. Perched on the coastline, where the waves crash with force, the house-museum (optional visit) hosts the poet's most intriguing collections. You'll have time to stroll along the waterfront and feel the energy of the place that inspired Neruda's most famous poems, ending the day with the ocean breeze.
This tour is ideal for those who want to make the most of their time in Chile, combining flawless logistics, rich history and the best scenery in the central region all in one day. We will return to Santiago in the late afternoon, ensuring that you have experienced the best of Chilean culture, poetry and landscapes in a unique and all-encompassing experience.
