Andean Museum - Santa Rita Winery
Amidst the Santa Rita vineyards, on the foothills of the Andes, sits the Museo Andean, a large, modern museum that houses a collection of around 3000 archeological and ethnographic artifacts created by the Pre-Columbian peoples who inhabited these lands, as well as works from the mixed cultures of Chile and Latin America.

The collection was assembled by Ricardo Claro and María Luisa Vial de Claro, who in 2006 donated the items to the Fundación Claro Vial, making them available to the community in a museum that is open to all, with the support of the Cultural Donations Law.
An Inca-style stone wall and a sculpture of José Vicente Gajardo mark the entryway. The museum features three differentiated sectors. Two of them display the permanent collection, while the third shows temporary exhibitions, mainly of contemporary art. The permanent exhibition stands as a journey through Chile’s pre-Hispanic cultures.
