Valle Nevado Ski Resort
Best Ski Resorts in ChileThis ski center constitutes the main mountain resort of the Andes Mountain Range and is open all year round.
Valle Nevado, the largest ski center in South America, is located 46 kilometers east of Santiago de Chile. It has an excellent quality of snow, for its height and orientation and a privileged climate, with 80% of days cleared in the season.
The history of Valle Nevado begins in 1987 and in 1988 the doors of this ski center are opened, located in the middle of the Andes, inspired by the winter resort Les Arcs and the winter resorts of France. Since 1998, Valle Nevado began to develop as an integral center and the Andes Express chairlift, the first disengageable lift in South America, was inaugurated in 2001, which distinguishes it from other ski resorts in the region.
Since then Valle Nevado has been concerned with remodeling its hotels, having first class facilities such as two boarding mats on the El Prado and El Mirador lifts, and the Magic Carpet in the Jardín de Nieve; in addition to the Lead Viewpoint. In 2010, new lifts, a double chairlift and a teleski were installed, as well as opening 5 new tracks. Work began on Curve 17, where more than 300 new parking lots and points of sale for equipment rental, ski school and ticket offices were enabled.
Currently, the facilities of La Fourchette restaurant and Hotel Valle Nevado have a completely renovated environment, oriented to the comfort, enjoyment and rest of its passengers. For its excellent facilities, Valle Nevado since 2003 is the venue for one of the dates of the Snowboard World Cup.
Valle Nevado is also located a few kilometers from the La Parva and El Colorado ski centers, forming Los Tres Valles de los Andes, which offers multiple possibilities for mountain activities and excursions in winter and summer. In Valle Nevado we can find 3 excellent hotels, 4 types of apartments, different varieties of restaurants and all kinds of services to enjoy the mountains.
During the stay in Valle Nevado, during a full week of seven nights or a miniweek of three and four nights, you can visit other nearby ski resorts such as La Parva and El Colorado.

Just 56 kilometers from the Santiago International Airport, Ski Valle Nevado is located in the heart of the Andes, offering more than 9,300 hectares of skiable terrain and a total of more than 37 kilometers of tracks divided by degree of difficulty, with a strong increase of black tracks (the most demanding).

With more than 23,000 acres of skiable terrain, Valle Nevado is the largest winter center in the southern hemisphere. You will explore a world of skiing adventure, with specially prepared slopes and courts and spectacular Andean paddocks with off-piste and excellent virgin snow.
SnowBoard
In 2003, Valle Nevado once again hosted the Snowboard World Cup. It has been the only sports center in Latin America designated to host the FIS Snowboard World Cup.

Our professionals speak more than a dozen languages and offer the possibility of introducing, affirming and progressing in these disciplines, challenging themselves and nature. They are also certified mountain guides prepared for off-piste and Heli-Ski expeditions.

At its sports equipment rental center, Valle Nevado Chile has more than 1,200 state-of-the-art ski and snowboard equipment, including the most recent carving skis.
