It is a small winter center inserted in the Magallanes Forest Reserve and has a total area of 209 hectares of which approximately 18 correspond to the ski area. The operation with sports and social objectives means that the winter center services have not been developed at the level of large ski centers with commercial interests.
Their visitors are especially from the city of Punta Arenas since it is only fifteen minutes by car from the city center, which also allows many of their users to go skiing for half days during the afternoon and return to their work activities and family at the end of the day.
The beginning of the season certainly depends on the snow conditions, which usually allow skiing from the beginning of July, generally extending until the end of September.
