Description
Our journey sets sail from the heart of Puerto Natales. We'll sail the Última Esperanza fjord towards Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. This enigmatic journey starts early in the morning from the Prat Pier in Puerto Natales (EPA). You'll get to see the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers, which are part of the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, accessible only by sea. Bernardo O'Higgins National Park covers a total area of 4,300,000 hectares, making it the largest park in Chile and one of the four largest in the world. This protected area includes glaciers from the Southern Ice Fields, the largest ice mass in the Americas. Our excursion includes a beautiful tour through the Last Hope Fjord, which gives us the opportunity to see buildings belonging to the old Bories Refrigerator, several small rooms, glaciers and waterfalls, a colony of imperial cormorants and a rockery inhabited by a small colony of sea lions. During this wonderful journey, we'll disembark to visit the imposing Serrano Glacier for about an hour and a half, following the path to get as close as possible to this colossal ice formation. When we get back to the boat, we'll enjoy a whiskey with millennial ice, and then we'll head out to visit the Balmaceda Glacier from our outer decks.Includes
Coffee or tea with a sweet snack in the morning. Whiskey with thousand-year-old ice. Entrance fees to Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. Port taxes.Important Information
- The tour includes a hike to visit the Serrano Glacier, so you must come with appropriate clothing and be able to walk.
