Grundlagt i 1856 er Viña Cousiño Macul den eneste vingård i Chile, der blev etableret i det 19. århundrede, som stadig er i den originale familie. Med indførelsen af nye vinsorter som Finis Terrae og Dama de Plata, erhvervelsen af terræn i Paine og andre vigtige milepæle har de nye generationer fastholdt familiens tradition samtidig med at de har efterladt deres eget arv på vingården.
