Teatr Miejski w Santiago Narodowa Opera Chile jest głównym teatrem i centrum kulturalnym kraju. Zlokalizowany w centrum Santiago de Chile, odegrał fundamentalną rolę w rozwoju kulturalnym Chile, wyróżniając się operą, balet, koncertami symfonicznymi, zarzuelą, muzyką kameralną i spektaklami teatralnymi. Został otwarty 17 września 1857 roku operą Ernani Giuseppe Verdiego. Jego dyrektorem generalnym jest Carmen Gloria Larenas. Obecnie jest drugim najstarszym teatrem w Ameryce Południowej po Teatrze Solis w Montevideo. Teatr, który znajduje się w historycznym centrum stolicy Chile, został zaprojektowany w stylu klasycznym francuskim, aby pomieścić około 1 500 widzów w głównej sali i 250 w sali Claudio Arrau. Prezentuje różne ozdoby, takie jak kopuła z alegoriami autorstwa Ernesto Kirchbacha, nieskończona liczba kariatyd nawet w samej sali głównej oraz duża kryształowa lampa składająca się z 14 300 kryształów o wysokości 4 metrów.
