Description
We'll start the tour from the cities of Coquimbo - La Serena, 40 km north towards the town of Quebrada Honda, where we'll enter an interior valley of unique beauty in terms of native flora and sclerophyllous forest.
Upon arrival, we'll visit one of the oldest churches in the Coquimbo Region, which has important vestiges of the conquest period, dating back to the 17th century. We'll also learn about the work of local entrepreneurs dedicated to goat farming, taking part in a rustic tasting in the property's century-old orchards, and you'll be able to tour the place and learn more about the Spaniards' route.
Later, with trekking poles, we'll set off on a 15-minute trail in search of archaeological pictographs of the ancient indigenous peoples who inhabited this valley.
At the end, we'll visit a local beekeeper who'll show us her desert flower honey business. We'll learn about her bee hives and the important conservation work she does, and we'll have the chance to buy her honey-based products such as royal jelly cream, shampoo, soap, etc.
To finish, we'll have lunch at a local restaurant with coastal cuisine
