Description

The tour begins in Puerto Varas, heading along the shore of Lake Llanquihue toward Osorno Volcano. En route, you will admire views of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes before arriving at Ensenada to start the ascent to Osorno Ski and Mountain Center (1,200 meters / 3,937 feet).

At the ski center, you will have about an hour for sightseeing and photography. From here, observe glaciers, the summit of Osorno Volcano, Lake Llanquihue, Calbuco Volcano, and the Pacific Ocean. Optional activities include purchasing coffee or snacks at the local café or taking a lift to higher elevations at Station Primavera (1,450 meters / 4,757 feet) or Station Glaciar (1,750 meters / 5,741 feet).

Next, the tour continues toward Petrohue in Vicente Perez Rosales National Park, following a scenic route along Lake Llanquihue. Upon arrival in Petrohue, you can walk among the evergreen forest and admire the turquoise waters of the Petrohue River with the backdrop of Osorno Volcano.
