Baha i House
Baha i House
A gathering place for South America. Located in the foothills of the Andes in Santiago, Chile, the Bahá’í House of Worship of South America opens its doors on October 19th 2016. It will welcome individuals from Santiago and from all over the world to visit, contemplate in its gardens and to participate in the community activities for which it is a focal point. This House of Worship, joins those other continental houses of worship, as a meeting point that promotes unity through free participation in acts of prayer and service while in a serene environment, free of rituals or ceremonies.
The Bahá’í community offers this place as a concrete contribution to the continuing development of our society— a place open to all, promoting bonds of unity, and heeding the call made by Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith:
“Build ye houses of worship throughout the lands in the name of Him Who is the Lord of all religions… Then, with radiance and joy, celebrate therein the praise of your Lord, the Most Compassionate.”
