Grunnlagt i år 1869 som det første ridesenteret i hovedstaden for hesteløp, Equestrian Club of Santiago hadde sin offisielle innvielse, så vel som sine første løp den 20. september 1870, under ledelse av sin første president, Mr. Francisco Baeza Sotomayor.

Plassert i området rundt kvartalet Republikken, en av de mest elegante og tradisjonelle i gamle Santiago, har nettstedet siden sin opprinnelse med nåværende beliggenhet og design av sine baner orientert fra nord til sør, der tribunene ser mot Andesfjellene.
