Cascata del Itata

Situate nella regione VIII, a 18 km a ovest di Yungay, questa spettacolare cascata, ancora poco conosciuta, ha una cascata in cui il fiume Itata cade da 75 metri di altezza per le sue scogliere, che sono state formate dall'erosione della roccia causata nel corso del tempo dal fiume, si può vedere la sua abbondante vegetazione con arbusti e fiori selvatici che circondano il luogo.



Lungo lo stesso corso del fiume Itata c'è anche il Saltillo del Itata, in un bellissimo luogo con una laguna naturale e un ambiente ricco di alberi, come salici, pioppi.

Per raggiungere le Cascate del Itata bisogna andare alla città di Yungay, poi bisogna andare verso ovest della città percorrere una distanza di 18 chilometri su una strada sterrata.



Il Saltillo del Itata, che dà luogo a una laguna e un ambiente di flora selvatica.

Oltre alla spettacolare cascata e al rumore assordante causato dalla cascata, questa attrazione turistica è ideale per la pesca alla trota, al salmone e al silverside. Il luogo è anche adatto per nuotare, escursioni, fotografia, picnic e campeggio.
