Description
It all starts from the moment you make the reservation where we will accompany you with technical advice on acclimatization, physical conditioning and nutrition so that your performance on the climb is the most optimal. Day 1: Acclimatization and trip for the atacama andes. Our trip begins in san pedro de atacama with direccion to the base camp of the licancabur volcano. We will pick you up in our 4x4 vehicle at your hotel at 14:00hrs, then our path initially takes us through the gigantic crater of the sairecabur volcano at about 5,500masl where we will take a short acclimatization walk without any demands or slopes along the edge of this ancient volcano. This experience will allow you to gradually acclimatize to the altitude, preparing you for the great adventure that awaits you in the coming days. It is here where we will have one of the most beautiful views of this volcano. Later we will continue our trip by car descending the southern slope of the great sairecabur to reach the licancabur base camp, located on its northern flank and at 4600 masl. Here a delicious and comforting dinner awaits us. As we share stories and laughter under a starry sky, we mentally prepare ourselves for the exciting climb that awaits us. Day 2: The ascension begins The day begins at 08:00 hrs where the first rays of sun will illuminate us, the ideal moment to perform the wake or andean rite of permission to the mountain. Later we will enjoy an energetic breakfast and then prepare for the ascent to the high field 5200masl. The start of the ascent is around 12:00 hrs and during the next five hours, we will advance around 2.1 kilometers, overcoming a challenging 600 meter gradient. The landscape around us becomes increasingly impressive as we ascend, offering us panoramic views of the region. Upon reaching the high camp, we will settle in camping tents and enjoy a delicious dinner and a well-deserved rest. The sunset and the beauty of the nature that surrounds us leaves us breathless. Day 3: Conquest of the summit and the mystical crystal sphere lagoon The early morning finds us ready for the final challenge at 02:00hrs and we begin the ascent to the summit of the licancabur volcano. Over approximately five hours, we will travel for 1.6 kilometers and overcome a difference in altitude of 700 meters. The summit is approaching, and with each step we take, the sense of achievement grows. Once at the summit, we find ourselves facing a dreamlike view that seems taken from another world. But that is not all. We will discover the mystical Crystal Sphere Lagoon, a magical and mysterious place that has been a hidden treasure for centuries. The descent is friendlier and faster, and in approximately five hours we return to base camp, where we say goodbye to this magical place. Then, we begin the trip back to San Pedro de Atacama, where we will arrive at 17:00hrs, taking with us the memories of an adventure that we will never forget.Includes
