The best vineyards in Chile

Concha y Toro, one of the oldest vineyards, with the longest tradition in Chile, and one of the most important in the world, is located in the picturesque rural area of Pirque, only 1 hour from Santiago.

In this place known for its exquisite wines, you will have the opportunity to explore the gardens of the old summer house of Don Melchor de Concha y Toro.

A vineyard and winery that has a prosperous history that dates back to 1883 when vines from the Bordeaux region were planted in Pirque in the Maipo Valley; since then the company has excelled in producing some of the finest Chilean wines.

This status has been echoed around the world and even in Northern Europe as an official wine partner of Manchester United, with strong ties to Asia, Latin America and Europe. The vineyards benefit from their geographical location with fertile soils, effective irrigation, high altitude and salty sea breezes; a total of 9,513 hectares are owned by Concha y Toro.

After the harvest and the bottling of the wine, they are placed in cellars near the vineyards until they have aged enough to be tasted and distributed to their many customers. Their wine list is extensive and focuses mainly on red varieties.

A traditional tour operates in English or Spanish and takes guests through the estate and house gardens; the vineyard; a wine tasting experience; the wine cellars; and finally more wine tasting, and an engraved glass to take home as a gift. There is also a wine bar that can be visited after the tour to learn and enjoy the premium bottles that are grown here.

Professional sommeliers will assist you directly with suggestions for the combination or inform and guide you in your purchase at Concha y Toro Wine Bar
