En la misma carretera, de Castro a Ancud y cerca de Quemchi, están las cataratas de Tocohiue. Dicen que en temporada alta es como el Muelle del Alma: hay tanta gente que no se puede ni siquiera tomar una foto. Por suerte, el día que fuimos allí estaba bastante vacío y pudimos disfrutar del lugar.

Para llegar en auto, tenga en cuenta que el último tramo es de grava/tierra y la carretera no está en muy buenas condiciones. Si llega en autobús, tendrá que hacer ese tramo a pie. Por supuesto, también hay excursiones que te llevan en minibús y te dejan en la puerta.
 
Como los saltos son en propiedad privada tienes que pagar una entrada de unos 1500 pesos chilenos por adulto. Desde la entrada, donde hay baños y un restaurante, tienes que bajar unos escalones (tienen redes para que no resbales) hasta el río. También hay un mirador si subes las escaleras.
