Der Victoria-Platz, auch Plaza de la Victoria genannt, ist ein Platz im Almendral-Sektor der Stadt Valparaíso in Chile, der ein wichtiges Erbe darstellt, da er wertvolle Statuen und Pflanzenarten umfasst.



Der Platz wurde in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts als solcher geschaffen und trug zuvor die Namen Plaza Nueva und Plaza de Orrego. Obwohl er von Anfang an historische Bedeutung hatte, begann er erst nach Ende der 1860er Jahre an Bedeutung zu gewinnen und wurde zu einem der wichtigsten sozialen Zentren der Stadt. Der Platz erhielt seinen aktuellen Namen zu Ehren des chilenischen Triumphs im Krieg gegen die Peru-Bolivianische Konföderation.



Gegenüber dem Plaza Simon Bolivar gelegen, bilden sie zusammen ein wichtiges städtisches Zentrum der Stadt mit einem großen Publikumsandrang und wichtigen Gebäuden, die sie umgeben, wie die Bibliothek Santiago Severin, die Kathedrale von Valparaiso oder das Clubhaus des Marinevereins von Valparaiso. Der Plaza Victoria ist auch einer der frequentierten Orte für kulturelle und soziale Veranstaltungen.
